Information you give us

When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, area or location, the type of work you need, your preferred contact method and the project information you choose to provide.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, assess and quote for work, communicate about projects, keep appropriate business records and protect the website and contact form from misuse or abuse.

Website and analytics data

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how people use the website and which contact actions are useful. This may include information such as pages viewed, general device and browser information, approximate location, traffic source and interactions such as quote submissions, phone clicks and WhatsApp clicks.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, may also process technical request and security information needed to deliver and protect the website.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers where needed to operate the website and respond to enquiries. These currently include Vercel for hosting and security, Resend for website enquiry email delivery, Google Workspace for email, and Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for website measurement.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and project information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, manage any resulting work, meet legitimate business or legal record-keeping requirements, and resolve queries or disputes. Information that is no longer required is deleted or otherwise disposed of appropriately.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information handled through the website. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted account access, website firewall protections, bot monitoring and rate limiting on the quote form.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that inaccurate information be corrected, or ask us to delete information where there is no longer a valid reason for us to keep it. You may also object to certain uses of your information where applicable.

South African privacy law

Dowling Projects handles personal information with regard to applicable South African privacy requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
